First the NFL and shortly after the NBA, will the NBA lockout have the same effect on fans as it did for the NFL? Some fans think not, football is supposedly deemed America’s game and favorite pass time, but what about the NBA? The question now is where does the NBA stand among our nation’s favorite sports, and how is it affecting fans? These are the kinds or question people are asking. However, recently it was announced that all NBA games for the month of November would be canceled. At this point we need to look at the bigger picture. I personally am confused and feel like there won’t be answers any time soon. I am diehard basketball fan but I still look at the bigger picture. There are so many other jobs that depend on the NBA players getting back on the court. This ultimately affects the economy. All because someone else wants more money, I mean let’s not get it twisted, I am the kind of person who believes in giving honor where honor is due, but remember it is a privilege and a honor to be in the NBA, to be counted as one of the nation’s best, to get paid for doing what you love. Whether the NFL the NBA, the NHL or any other league I think it is time for our players to get of the external train and take a trip back toreality. . . for the love of the game.
